Newly opened in 2023 the Premier Inn in Keswick is located opposite the Pencil Museum and just a 5 minute walk on level ground into the centre of Keswick. There is a handy supermarket just across the road which is open until 11pm everyday except Sunday and the hotel has fine views to the mountains from both the front and rear.

This new hotel offers all room types including standard, accessible and the new Premier Plus room grade. All of the beds in the hotel rooms also feature the new Premier Inn mattress.
Parking
The hotel has on-site parking for up to 29 vehicles including 4 disabled bays and 2 EV charging points. The car park has a height restriction of 1.95m and costs £10 for an overnight stay. If this is full then there is a large car park directly opposite the hotel owned by the Pencil Museum which offers 24hr parking for £10.
Food & Drink
The Keswick Premier Inn has a Café-Bar restaurant which serves a limited meal selection and you can order food as a takeaway to eat in your room. There is a full Premier Inn Breakfast service in the morning served 6:30 to 10:30 weekdays and 7:00am to 11:00am on weekends.
Premier Inn meal deal at Keswick costs £18.99 and entitles you to a two course dinner, one drink (alcoholic or soft) and unlimited breakfast the following morning. The menu is fairly limited for main meals and currently comprises starter choice of Mixed Olives/Tortilla Chips with dip/Soup of the day, mains of two pizza options, two curry options and bolognese and desert options of Chocolate Brownie/Ice Cream/Fruit Salad. There is a near identical choice on the kids menu.
Things to do in and around Keswick
Keswick is a thriving market town and you will find a wide choice of restaurants and gastro pubs within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Derwentwater Lake is just a 15 minute walk away along with the Theatre by the lake offering its year around events ranging from contemporary plays to art exhibitions. Nearby popular fell walks include Catbells and there is a shuttle bus service from the town to the start of this walk throughout the summer months.
If you are looking for a beautiful level walk without climbing then consider the spectacular Keswick to Threlkeld old railway line walk, this is hard to beat and takes in some of the valleys most stunning scenery as it criss-crosses over the River Greta. The route is 3 miles each way so 6 miles as a circuit and starts from the old station at the top of Upper Fitz Park, there are plenty of picnic spots along the trial and an excellent cafe for refreshments in Threlkeld.
