Simple Guide to the Premier Inn Hypnos Mattress/Bed
For over a decade Hypnos manufactured all of the Premier Inn mattresses for their hotels throughout the UK.
It didn't take long for Premier Inn to realise that many guests were so happy with the comfort of the Premier Inn bed that were starting to enquire if they could buy one for thier own homes, and that this could represent an additional extra money spinner.
Therefore Premier Inn struck up a deal with Hypnos to exclusively license their mattress and bed to customers. This deal involved only Premier Inn being able to send a customer to Hypnos for the bed i.e. they could not be bought from a third party website or shop. Once a customer was introduced to Hypnos their involvement ceased and Hypnos would take over, manufacture the bed/mattress and deliver it and then provide any required after sales service. Premier Inn benefited by receiving a commission on every sale.
This commercial arrangement continued up until the end of 2022 when Premier Inn switched to Silentnight as the manufacturer of its beds and mattresses going forward into 2023 and also its sales to the general public. You can read our full guide to the Silent Night Premier Inn mattress here.
How long is the guarantee for the Hypnos Premier Inn mattress/bed?
Hypnos provided a full five year guarantee on both your mattress and bed. The guarantee starts on the day your bed was delivered to your home by Hypnos

If you have an issue with your Hypnos Premier Inn mattress or bed which you think might be covered by its warranty then first read this guide to understand what is and what is not covered:

Assuming none of the above exclusions apply then you need to make contact with Hypnos Contract Beds to initiate a claim under the warranty. DO NOT CONTACT PREMIER INN - THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HELP
How to initiate a Premier Inn Hypnos warranty claim
To register any problem, you’ll need to report the problem directly to the Hypnos Contract Beds customer service team by email, or phone and provide supporting photographs to illustrate your concern. You will also need to provide proof of purchase, including your unique order reference number and date of purchase, plus a full description of the problem.

Depending on the nature of the problem, Hypnos may organise for an independent third-party inspection company to visit your home and carry out a full review. If the mattress or bed is found to have a manufacturing defect, then Hypnos will provide a new, equivalent product and remove the old product.
The cost of any remedial action will be borne by Hypnos for up to five years from the delivery date, including transport costs to any UK mainland or Northern Ireland address.

- The product is found to have been mistreated or damaged.
- If the mattress is soiled, stained or are unhygienic
- The product has not been maintained in accordance with the care instructions supplied - this includes mattresses not being rotated as recommended.
- A new mattress has been used with an existing, damaged divan base that is deemed to be of unsuitable quality.
- The mattress has been used on a slatted bed frame with slats more than 7.5cm apart.
- The product is no longer owned by the original buyer. A guarantee cannot be transferred.
Please note the following:
- Metal 'opening' mechanisms within extra pull-out beds and super storage divan bases are guaranteed for 1 year
- Headboards and bedding are guaranteed for 1 year.
