- Basically by paying more for your Premier Inn you are paying for increased flexibility should your travel plans change.
- The Flex rate is the most expensive option but also allows you to change your booking, be that a cancellation for full refund, or a fully flexible amendment right up until 1pm on the day of your stay.
- The Semi-Flex option is the mid-priced option allowing you to cancel for a full refund up to three days before your stay, or amend the booking on a like for like basis up to 1pm on the day of stay.
- The most common cheapest rate which is called Standard and was formally called the saver rate, only allows cancellation for a full refund up to 24hrs after you have made the initial booking, but similar to the semi-flex does still allow you to amend the booking on a like for like basis right up to 1pm on the day of your stay.
- If you are booking a Premier Inn more than 28 days in advance then you may be offered the Advance rate which requires you to pay in full on booking but allows you a full refund upto 28 days before your stay, if it is less than 28 days before your stay you cannot cancel for a refund but can still amend your booking right up to 1pm on the day of your stay at the same hotel. This gives you a medium level of flexibility and is priced midway between a Standard rate and Flex rate.
- Finally you may on occasion be offered a Non-Flex rate which will be the very cheapest rate and is rarely seen. This rate requires you to pay in full at booking, there are no refunds or amendments of any type allowed.
