Hub by Premier InnIf you are looking for a cheaper hotel alternative to standard city centre Premier Inn's then you could try the Premier Inn Hub concept which the brand has launched in London and Edinburgh. The hotels are ideal for adult guests travelling either solo or as a couple as they don't cater for children.
Currently there are 12 Hub Hotels in London located in: Covent Garden, City Bank, Westminster, Kings Cross, Tower Bridge, Spitalfields, Clerkenwell, Soho, West Brompton, Shoreditch, Westminster St James Park and Goodge Street and 3 Hub Hotels in Edinburgh located in The Royal Mile, Rose Street and Haymarket. You can read our full review of staying in a standard sized hub room here. Premier Inn Hub hotels offer a choice of two room sizes, although both are smaller than the traditional Premier Inn hotel bedrooms. On average they are about half the size of a standard Premier Inn bedroom. In the standard hub hotel bedroom you have a double bed pushed up against one wall allowing access to just one side whilst the bigger hub bedroom has a kingsize bed with access both sides. The rooms are cleverly designed with suitcase storage under the bed and desk with separate chair provided in the bigger sized rooms. Heating, lighting and automatic 'do not disturb' door sign can all be controlled by a smart panel next to the bed. |

London & Edinburgh |

7. Whats the difference between a standard Premier Inn Hotel and the Premier Inn Hub? |
Hubs don't have a full breakfast buffet, dinner service, or bar like a regular Premier Inn. A lighter continental type of breakfast is available instead, and a limited take-away style evening menu may be available. The rooms are about 50% smaller with a double bed against the wall in the standard room. Some Hub hotels offer 'bigger rooms' which have a king-size bed accessible from both sides. Standard room size is fine for a single person but a little cramped for a couple who would benefit from the bigger room. The Hub bathroom is a frosted enclosure rather a separate room with a door so privacy may be an issue if the room is shared. |
8. Does Premier Inn Hub have family rooms? |
No, Premier Inn Hub hotels do not offer family rooms so cannot accommodate children. |
9. What is the Premier Inn Hub check in and check out time? |

Breakfast is served from 6:30am weekdays and 7:00am weekends and bank holidays. Breakfast is available until 11:00am |

Food and Drink in a Hub Hotel
Food and drink choices are generally more limited than in the standard Premier Inn hotels. A basic continental style breakfast is served from 6:30am on weekdays and 7:00am on weekends and bank holidays. Breakfast service generally runs until 11:00am each day. A take-away style menu is available for dinner with simple dishes such as pizza, chilli con carne and curry which can all be eaten in your room.
Of course because Hub Hotels are located in such central city locations you will find a huge choice of places to eat and drink right on the hotel doorstep, for example the Covent Garden Hub has over 900 restaurants within 1/3 of a mile! This explains the rather limited menu on offer as many guests only use Hub Hotels as a place to sleep rather than eat.
